We are headed to NYC on Friday to celebrate with friends.

I miss NY so much. Being back in the place where it all began for me 40 years ago should make the transition to adulthood easier.

Feliz! Since then many things have sort of gone downhill. Gravity has taken over, arthritis has set in, my memory isn't quite as sharp as it once was. But this year, at 50, I decided to learn to play the guitar, and I'm letting some old dreams play out so I have time for some new ones. I'm working very hard at not being old.

I recently learned that a favorite author, Phyllis Whitney, is still going strong at 104, so now I feel young again. I'm just a kid compared to her, after all. Maybe a slightly more gray, achy, creaky kid, but a kid all the same.

I think the secret is never admitting to yourself that you're old.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3091587405440724641.post-6695268037674032572007-10-03T17:06:00.000-05:002007-10-03T17:06:00.000-05:00Thanks for finding this interesting, Marcel. I was...Thanks for finding this interesting, Marcel. I was so shocked to learn about him and to actually talk to him.

I wonder if I'll ever have a chance to talk to such an aged man again in my life (and I'm still young).

Best wishes for your upcoming birthday, Marcel.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
