British artist, Damian Hirst, has an eye for death unlike most. His art frequently flirts with the theme of mortality in ways that are jarring, dazzling, and in some ways, downright creepy.Hirst is not without his critics. Some have trivialized his art as nothing more than cheap visual effects pandering to pop cultural trends. Perhaps it's the fact that Hirst is one of the most economically successful living artist in the history of the world that makes him such an easy target, who knows?
One thing is certain, though, with his latest creation, a $99 Million dollar skull, death has never ever looked so "ghettoliciously" beautiful.
